contingent in the recently concluded Leyte Pintados Kasadyaan Festival of Festivals, Abuyog's Buyogan Festival has been elevated to the Hall of Fame after winning four consecutive festivals since 2007. The festival was the grand champion in the Kasadyaan in 2007 and 2008, grand champion in the Sinulog Festival Free Interpretation Category last January and grand champion in the Aliwan Fiesta last April. It was awarded P100,000 by the
Dept. of Tourism recently and would perform in Singapore in the coming months.

Doc bares no additional A(H1N1) case in Samar has been reported
Provincial Health Officer
Dr. Dulce Cernal bared that Samar has not picked up any new A(H1N1)
case. She added that the confirmed cases of an Overseas Filipino
Worker (OFW) and his son have been, so far the only recorded confirmed
cases. The two have fully recovered and that the son has now returned
to school, the health officer stressed. Reports that also reached her,
but has proven negative was a foreigner and his Filipina wife who
