I just read the petition for the repair and rehabilittion of roads in Eastern Samar. So far I was 164th petitioner who signed through this internet. Collectively with all waraynons participation, this can be successfully be the first move and start the process of repairing and rehabilitating the bad roads with so many potholes in that part of Samar. I don't know why corruption still the priority when there's already the funding and the opportunity to do the job. We have had many discussion regarding this issue in the past and we bombarded a lot of criticism to Congressman Doloy Coquilla. We also credited Gov. Evardone as well as the Judge who did his comment to some politicians who are misusing the funds and their authority and power for the same reason. That means, corruption still reigns everywhere in the Philippines. My hope in 2009 is to stop corruption first but deal to the problems of our infrastructures especially the bad roads all over the country. Right now, I am concerned of the situation in Eastern Samar. My brothers and sisters in that part of Samar are sacrificing and imagine they have already sacrificed for many decades of bad roads. In Leyte, the same thing is happening. As I noted and observed when I last visited in 2008, there are many bad roads although almost national and provincial roads are cemented but there are potholes now. That's why we discussed lengthily about having a Pentakasi to do this repair for ourselves privately funded and with free labor from people of all walks of life. And to hell with our corrupt government who just want to steal money but don't do the repairs. I really hate them why they cannot stop corruption.
