I have not thought of the problems ahead especially those illustrated by Keliguy. It will be too costly and what you said of 18 billion pesos is only an initial expense. It could even reach to more than 100 billion pesos. But it that's the will of the whole people in the country, it can be overcome by so many ways like increasing the taxes. Another thing is the port of entry of the capital of Eastern Visayas State will be in Catbalogan because Tacloban is not an appropriate port with hard to maneuver and hasstle for trade and commerce. If the port in Catbalogan can generate billions in the long run so with the biggest airport that will be erected in Guiuan. Tacloban cannot have a big airport that will cater 747 Jumbo Jets. All the good amenities can be seen in Samar instead of Leyte. When everything will be functioning (that is if this dream of a statehood will be approved) I can be sure that Eastern Visayas State will be the envy of other states. It will generate more revenues from its infrastructures like good roads, airports, ports and universities and colleges and many others. In probably, 50 to 100 hundred years our state will have the biggest income or revenues compared to other 10 states of the Philippines.
